Adventures in Honesty – Living and Communicating Authentically

Most of us are taught from an early age to be “nice” with each other and put aside our need for honesty. This can have tragic consequences as we learn to withhold our truth long enough for pressure to build up and we boil over. This can result in depression, resentment (us and others) and a loss of meaning in our relationships. Even so, many avoid honest self-expression because our attempts to do so often have resulted in anger or upset in those closes to us and ourselves. NVC, also referred to as Compassionate Communication, shows us how to be radically honest with others in a way that generates connection in our relationships, rather than alienation.
