The Art of Setting Boundaries

THE ART OF SETTING BOUNDARIES
APPLYING NVC PRINCIPLES IN ALL OUR RELATIONSHIPS
(just in time for the Holiday Seasons!)
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9 -10, 2018
facilitated by
Carlene Maginnis, Certified Trainer
with The Center For Nonviolent Communication.

Many of us find setting boundaries challenging. Why? Because setting boundaries is often perceived as a way of separating ourselves from others especially when there’s conflict. What if setting boundaries in relationships within families and work environments strengthened our connections, helped to create safety, trust, belonging and ease for ourselves and others?
In this workshop, you will learn and experience:

  • Why setting boundaries are challenging
  • Empathizing with your fears when you voice what you want and the high cost of not voicing what you want;
  • How to be authentic in your yes and your no;
  • Understanding what you’re saying yes to when you say no;
  • How setting agreements are actually the glue to keeping relationships healthy and vibrant.
